Need Help with Custom Category URLs Structure, and Categories Listing in Posts

    Hi Experts!

    We’ve a Technology News Site http://goo.gl/8iIZE . As per requirement, we’re using /category/post_name/post_ID/ permalink structure and it is running fine.

    So, now issue is. Our major posts are regarding news and our all the posts gets /news/ in their URL. This is not looking good to give /news/ url to every of our post. Problem is that we can’t exclude /news/ category, because it’s being used at homepage listing, as it’s related to multiple category news.

    So know i want to do these things if possible:
    1. Hows to Hide /news/ category from URLs? instead we would like to show /mobiles/ and /laptops/ in the URL.
    2. How to hide Listed in /category/news/ from inside posts. I.e. when a mobile related post of us appears, we include them in /category/mobile-phones/ and /category/news/. So i would like to hide /news/ category from inside posts also. So i want /news/ category for only our news listings at homepage. We can’t make other categories child due to breadcrumbs. So don’t know how to do that.

    In simple words we want to use News Category Only as a category archive and don’t want to appear in inside posts and URLs.

    Please help in this developer level query of me. Do let now if you require more details. Thanks in Advance. Waiting for reply.
