• This may have been asked before, so I apologise if it has.

I am using the free version of Events Manager on this site and you can see the events calendar in the top left. The evnts are also listed in an events ‘page’, located here.

The events work as expected and the links take you to the correct locations however, none of the events are being indexed by Google, none at all? The events page has been picked up but that’s as far as it goes.

All other posts and pages on the site have been indexed and it is being crawled regularly and new pages/posts are usually indexed within a few days so I am completely stumped with this.

I don’t think the robots.txt is blocking anything, although Google/WordPress seems to ignore this anyway as I have another site where I blocked a section of the site via robots and it continues to index all the pages/posts within it anyway lol!!

So yeah, completely confused why they aren’t being picked up by Google.

    Any ideas?

hope this post gives you an idea http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-events-manager-events-not-indexing?replies=4

Hi thanks, doesn’t really help though as, like I said, the site is quite popular and all other (60+) pages and posts have been indexed and usually within a few days of posting.

That thread doesn’t explain why the events aren’t being indexed, especially seeing as the page that contains all the events has been.

Yes this is not the problem, i have at one of my sites much more Links and it don’t index it too.

And google crawl every 30 Minutes my Homepage, and index all other posts in a few hours but the events are not over a week in the index.

And every webmaster know that this make links too.

And i have over 1200 Events in the Calendar an NO Event is Index I think this is a problem from Events Manager.

I have used Event Calendar and so I have seen that the Events are sometimes in 30 Minutes in the Index but this isn’t by Events Manager…

    And I’m a little bit angry today…..

there’s nothing that should prevent EM from working indexing your pages, but bear in mind that atm it doesn’t integrate with sitemap generators (nor does it ping like posts) for example, which may slow things down.

We’re working on some SEO solutions that’ll improve the situation in the near future.

Thanks for the replies guys. Such a pain in the backside as it means I now have to go back and rework the whole events section to the site (which includes removing the Events Manager plugin) as there is obviously something very wrong for the events not to get indexed, where everything else is.

Marcus, I know that sitemaps onlye month ping Google or Bing, but if in 0ne month NO Event in the Index from google this is not good.

And this is not the problem from the links.

    Hello Marcus,
The problem is these are in a month of 1400 Events 0 Events in the index. And that can not be right or indeed anywhere yet? Especially since all the other articles are usually within 24 hours in Google’s index. So is not always located on Seo. Also I’m looking for an alternative.
