• Hi, when using search function, page returns “no events”. I added 3 categories and a couple of events in the same U.S. state. When testing, any search returns same result.
However, if I am logged in as admin and do a search, it returns me to the admin dashboard?
this is a multisite blog, but plugin is activated individually on the main site.

    Thank you for any ideas!

sounds like the form is sending you to the wrong page.

it sure does… but the form is on “events” page and the admin panel is set to “events” page, so what other setting could it possibly be?

have you had any experience with this behavior or what may cause it?

what does the form point to? It should be pointing the same page.

hi and thanks for your reply. The form just points to the “events” page as near as I can tell because when I perform a search, it just refreshes the page and says “no events” while still on the “events” page.

However, if I am logged in as admin, it sends me back to my admin panel.
So… when I do a search with drop downs set to ‘all’, no events return, including your default events.

Really, it just leaves me at a loss as to a starting point to even diagnose it. Hoping to fix it though because we are wanting to do the upgrade version if we can make it go.

I will probably test it on a clean install wp, later today. I like the plugin and it’s perfect for what I need to do, so it’s pretty important for me to see it through.

    Again, thanks for your time!

i recommend you try disabling other plugins or viewing the site in the default theme preview mode to see if it happens.

btw, you should also be on a recent wp install, i remember there were some issues in 3.0.5

By chance, did you find a resolve to this problem. I have the same problem happening and not sure why. My web url is http://www.creativecoloursbyamber.com.

    Thanks,

Forgot to notify myself with follow up posts, so having to re-post to get that option, sorry.

are you on the latest versions, and did you try the suggestions above?

    Marcus,

Yes I have. I’m using WordPress 3.3.1 and Event Manager Plugin 5.1.3. The only other plugin I’m using that is not originally included with WordPress is Recent Posts with Excerpts, which I disabled with no results.

    Thanks for your help,
    Keith

could it be you have a default country selected (i.e. us) and your events don’t have a location in the US?

try not selecting a default country in your em settings.

    Marcus,

You nailed it. It’s always the smallest things that create the biggest problems. Thank you very much for your help. The plug in is awesome and does exactly what I’m after. Hope to upgrade to pro soon.

    Keith
