Per category monthly archives

I use something called sortable-nicer-archives. It isn’t a plugin. If you look at my site and click on the Sortable Nicer Archives page, you have various options for arranging your archives.

There may be a plugin or way to do what you want, but I can’t think of how to do it.

does anyone know a way of displaying the archives sorted by category in the sidebar for the theme? I tried integrating the KG archives into it from above, but it doesn’t want to work.

Yep.. okay… that did it on my system….. adding a /%category%/ to the beginning of my permalink structure like:

/%category%/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

now allows me to display just the posts for the month for one category via:

http://www.website.com/blog/category-slug/2006/01/

Just thought I would post this for others looking to do the same thing. Now I just have to build a set of links for the sidebar that display the months and links sorted by category.
