Image problems

My homepage used to be real slick. It used Custom Community 1.8.2, had a very nice header, etc. Now most of the images on the site won’t load. When I try to find the images in my media section I can see that it remembers all the images I’ve uploaded, but they don’t load on the site. Is this a plug-in conflict, a theme problem, or a database issue? Any ideas for a quick fix or is this going to get ugly? When I upload any image it doesn’t show up either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
