Log pingomatic or other ping services response?

Hi,

I’m wondering whether there is a log file that WordPress keeps, or a plug in that creates a log file of the response that pingomatic or other ping services send back?

This would be useful to see whether there have been any error messages and to make sure that the ping actually worked.
