I am dumb

I don’t understand any of this. I made a wordpress.com and pushed my domain (howtobemyself.com)to it. Then I found out that .com doesn’t include plugins and that I need a .org account. I have host gator for my hosting. I’ve reviewed some of the documents and I am not getting anywhere. Is there even a way to move a wordpress.com over to .org so I can use the plugins? I am very noob with this being my first website/blog. Any helps to a newbie would be greatly appriciated.
