• This plugin has worked successfully for me until today, when I updated to the plugin’s newest version (version 1.2). Now it shows when the next scheduled comment importation is, shows that it’s successfully connected to my Facebook page, and even shows that the comments for particular posts have “Not Yet” been “imported to blog”. (LOVE the table, by the way.)

    However, it’s simply not importing those comments. They’re perpetually stuck in a “not yet” stage.

    I’ve tried to force the comments to import by clicking the “Import Now” button, and that pulls up a “Importation Successfull” bar in yellow across the top of the plugin management screen. However, the “not yet” imported comments are still listed as “not yet” imported. And, of course, they’re not actually showing up in my comments.

    Any help is appreciated. I’m using WP 3.2.1 with a Headway theme. Again, all worked well until I updated to the newest version of the plugin today.

  • Hi FoodRenegade,

    Can you make this test to help me resolve this issue :
    – Deactivate all your plugins except Facebook Comments Importer
    – Try to click on “Import Now” and see if it works.
    – Reactivate your plugins.

    If it works with all plugins deactivated, can you tell me what plugins do you use ?

    I have this exact same problem. I have 30 plugins and will also try.

    Hi Neoseifer22,

    I did your test, but the error still persisted. So, it doesn’t seem to be related to any other plugins I’m using.

    Thanks!

    Well, it randomly started working again, after more than 24 hours of NOT importing comments. Not sure why. Did you change anything on the back end?

    I deactivated all my plugins…still will not import. So it’s not conflicting with any plugin I have. I just reverted back to 1.1 for now. At least that imports, albeit mostly duplicates.

    @foodrenegade : I cannot change anything on the back-end, because the back-end is… Facebook ! Unfortunately, I’m not Zuckerberg 😉

    So, why is it working suddenly ? There is great chances that the Facebook API was broken the first times you tried. You have to know that the Facebook API is one of the most buggy API.Sometimes, it just does not respond, sometimes it have weird behavior…
