Support » Fixing WordPress » Plugin suddenly broke

  • Hi,

I just went to visit my site to make a post and got the error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home2/colin/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/WeatherIcon.php on line 216

I Know this is a plugin probleem, but i cant get into any of the admin section to disable it or anything

i havent changed anything recently, and my host says they havent upgraded anything either..

is there any way of fixing it (disabling the plugin from somewhere else?) i cant even find $end in the php file

any help would be appreciated 🙂

    Thanks,
    Colin

  • Use your ftp client to delete the plugin.
If the error persists, you will have to download and edit the theme file in which you added the plugin code.

thanks for the quick reply 🙂

turns out ot was my host after all, PHP had been updated which must of broken the plugin, some of the other scripts on my site were giving the same error.

    Thanks again,
    -Coiln 🙂
