  • Hello,

    Just a few questions that sometimes help with these types of errors. Can you confirm the version of WP you are using (did the errors start after you upgraded?), which theme are you using, and the PHP/MySQL version of the server that you are on? I have seen these types of errors when there was an issue on the server with the settings but it may be easier to nail down with more information.

    Kevin

    hello!

    I am getting error 500 internal server problem when I try to login to my wordpress blog. So I can´t get into my backend at all. I contacted my webhost, they checked and confirmed that the php version is 5. So upgraded. They sent me away with the words” it´s a” wordpress problem” ? What could the problem be?

    Cheers!

    Hi Kevin,

    I am using WP 3.2.1 with Mamoth theme. The error started after I upgraded to 3.2 before that I never use to get any such error.

    Server –
    PHP Version: PHP 5.2
    My SQL Version 5.0

    Thanks.

    @gautamanizer: Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
