    i followed
    http://codex.wordpress.org/favicon.ico

    yet it does not show up.

    Probablly I have chocethe wrong place to insert

    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/favicon.ico” />

    in header.php

    It says make sure to place within the <head></head> section.

    However, in header.php of Falling Leaves, which i use, only has </head>. So I placed it right before </head> but it won’t appear yet.

    Appreciate any help.

    Just drop the favicon.ico in your root folder.

    thanks. Now in msn search tool bar of IE, the proper logo apears. In firefox, I realized the different logo, now I realzed, is from the hosting service (bluehost) I use. I guess I should talk to bluehost about it. 🙂
