Support » Fixing WordPress » TinyMCE_Advanced_GetEditorTemplate Error

  • When I write a post this error always comes up and I have to write in HTML. There are no buttons to make it easier to bold or add images. How do I fix this?

    The error reads:
Error: Could Not Find The Template Function:TinyMCE_Advanced_GetEditorTemplate Error

Ok I figured out that I am missing a file when I upload WordPress. It is in the following directory:

    TinyMCE / Advanced /

    The file name is GetEditorTemplate

Can anyone send me this file? When I try to download a fresh copy for wordpress.org it still doesn’t come with it.

I do not have my rich text editor because this file is missing.
    Thanks

I get that error msg, too. Did you find that file, and where does it belong? I don’t have any folder named TinyMCE.

I’m getting this same error also when writing a post. Has anyone got an answer for us? I tried upgrading to WP 2.0.5 but that didn’t help.

Hi all, i also get the same error but i already find out how to fix it. I think you don’t completed the upload. You folder must have a path like this “wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced”. In advanced folder you’ll find out a file named “editor_template.js”

You can replace that file with this one
    http://trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced/editor_template.js?rev=3163&format=txt

Upload it and try it !
    Have fun 🙂
