How can I limit the number of posts displayed?

    I created a section for asides in the right sidebar, for a particular category (“Notizie dalla rete”), in http://www.cronache-egovernment.it

    This feature is wonderful, but the asides absorb most of the total amount of posts allowed in the main page .

    Even if I increase the maximum nuber of articles per page, I obtain in the central section only 2 or 3 articles.

    How can I limit the number of asides?
