• Hi

My site was hacked at the weekend and while the theme remain untouched all my content is gone. I had the username ‘admin’ and I got a couple of emails to say that my password had been lost and changed. I tried to log in and couldn’t, then discovered that my email address was no longer on file for ‘admin’ so I couldn’t gain access to the admin section.

I have managed to get into the site via another user’s log in details but as they are only in a subscriber/editor role they haven’t got the role capabilities I need to access previous revisions of the site so that I can take the content from the pages. I know that I need to re-set wordpress with all different passwords etc and still have ftp access so can easily do that but I was just wondering if there is any way I can get the content first before I delete the site? To get access to the content in the admin panel I need to change the user to an ‘admin’ role but obviously with the way it is currently set up I can’t change this as the user doesn’t have permission to do this so I was just wondering is there a manual way round this?? Hope that all made sense. Any help would be appreciated!!

    Thanks
    Sam
