Bowe_Codes – removing bullet

I have tried doing

.my_members-ul {
      list-style:none!important;
}

In both the bowe-codes/css/default.css & the theme css file, have also tried editing the bowe-codes PHP file changing <li>' to<li style=”list-style:none;”>` but Iam still getting the bullet points which I want removed when displaying a list of members, groups etc using the bowe_codes plugin.
Anyone any idea how to do this without removing the bullet from the main theme?
