• On the Admin page, on top of “Write a Post” would be “Write a Post (simple form)”.

It would take you to a simplified page. No + symbols on the right or bottom of the page to open up more choices. Category check boxes would display — but all those other choices would be left out.

Most importantly, the image upload would work as follows (only one image per post allowed):

You would have title and description fields — then a browse button to choose the photo. Upon submit (for the whole post, no intermediate “upload” feature) — the image would be shrunk to 240 X 180, uploaded to the upload folder, and the appropriate code inserted at the beginning of the post for display of the image before any text in the post.

That’s it. Maybe an advanced version of this would give the choice of two or three different sized pics.

    Why this plug-in?

I’m trying to set people up with WordPress blogs and I’m finding the basic posting page to be too complicated for some of these folk. And what puts people over the edge is that image uploader.

Has something like this been done (I looked through lists of plug-ins and didn’t see anything)?

    What do you think?
