Done everything. Connected, but getting this error message when creating a post:
“401 Unauthorized: Authentication credentials were missing or incorrect.”

Besides, I can’t find this setting on Twitter apps:
“Application Type should be set on Browser”

    Yesssss. Succeeded!!!

It’s important to set the Application Type Access to “Read and Write” and only AFTER THAT we have to request a token.
The token’s access level inherits the App’s access level.
I had to delete my app and create a new one because revoking the app in Twitter was in vain. It didn’t “release” the token in my app.
Now it works flawlessly. I’m going to use it with bit.ly.

Thanks for noting that – I’ll add that detail to the instructions in the plug-in.

Thanks Hunor and Joe: I encountered this same problem when trying out the plugin, and was very relieved to see that there was a simple fix.

This is an excellent plugin, incidentally: I regret staying on WordTwit for so long.

how do i set the Application Type Access to “Read and Write”??

In the twitter app settings. This is not set inside the plugin, only at twitter.

    Thanks
