• Hi,

I’ve installed NGGallery with FancyBox set as the custom effect. When I add multiple NGG galleries to a page and I view them via Fancybox, they don’t end after each gallery. The user is able to scroll through all the NGG images on that page as if they were all part of the same gallery.

Does anyone know how this can be changed to show only per gallery?

Just noticed something else… This happens if I add the NextGEN widget to the sidebar widget area. So if I have a gallery on a page and view it through Fancybox, it will scroll through the gallery AND the ones in the NextGEN widget.

Basically, any NextGEN images will be opened in Fancybox on the same page.

    Help? :/

me too guys. I have five galleries on a page. When you hit the last image in a gallery, your next click takes you over into the next gallery. I don’t want this behavior.

Anyone have any more input on this. I have the same issue. Fancybox is unable to limit its viewing to the individual NextGen gallery.

Same thing happening to me. Hopefully we can get a solution soon.

i’m having a bit of a problem with this as well, i’m sure it has to do with rel or class issues. I’m using the easy fancybox plugin and i fixed the problem on the front page but not the gallery page. easy fancybox has a space to add classes to fix these issue but i haven’t tried it just yet. i’ll let you know if it works.

yep! fixed it. are any of you guys using easy fancybox? I can help. you have to work with the classes.

Hi daveydz3! Curious on what you did to fix this issue. Thanks!!!

Not using easy fancybox, but do share!

    it’s all about the class.

if you look at the code that wraps around your gallery, it should have a class, i.e, “.content, .entry, .something, etc.” Since this is about putting multiple galleries on one page, you would need to specify the class further so that fancybox can distiguish between different galleries.

.ngg-galleryoverview worked for me and should work for you. the issue is where do you specify it. Like i said, the easy fancy box plugin made this easy for me. i enabled an option, then added the class to a list, and presto! Fixed.

Since the assumption is that you guys are using a different plugin, I don’t know where you would put it. if you tell me the exact name of the plugin, i can look at it and maybe hep out.

but fyi, easy fancybox uses fancybox js itself, it just adds an extra layer to make, well, easy!

Thanks for your help daveydz3. I am using the Easy FancyBox for WordPress so I think your fix should work for me however, I’m not sure where your making these changes.

At a glance I see that each gallery is already wrapped in a class called ngg-galleryoverview. The rel for each gallery is called gallery. I would think having each one of these be different would fix the issue but I’m unsure how to go about fixing that.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Bryce, go to the media page in the setting menu, there you’ll find the settings for easy fancybox. You’ll then see an option for auto-gallery. It’s a drop-down menu so select galleries per section. below that you’ll see a text line for the sections. there’s already some filled out, don’t erase them, but add to the list .ngg-galleryoverview to it. save your changes and it should be fixed

daveydz3, this fixed it! Thank you very much for your help!

    you’re very welcome

    Very cool there’s a fix!

However, I must be using a different Easy Fancybox plugin. It doesn’t seem to have that dropdown menu in the Media settings page. So I can’t tell Fancybox to recognize the .ngg-galleryoverview class.

I’m using the one by RavanH.

Which plugin are you using, daveydz3 and Bryce?
