# 6.0.25 Update problem

 * I’ve tried to update from 6.0.24 to 6.0.25 several ties, and I keep getting
 * Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy
   some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.
 * All prior updates have worked fine.
 * Any suggestions?

 * On occasion, directory permission changes or network blips cause a problem where
   a file can’t be overwritten in the update process. This is not indicative of 
   a problem. Use sftp or ftp to access your web server, remove the wordfence folder
   in wp-content/plugins, and reinstall wordfence from the plugins > add new page
   of your web site.

 * I have the exact same problem as SMwebmaster when trying to update from 6.0.24
   to 6.0.25

 * Also have this error trying to update. The fact that other people have this problems
   shows it is not my configuration that is the problem so this is a good development!
   lol
 * I am going to try a manual install and will report back.

 * removing wordfence folder and then adding it again from wp admin seems to have
   done it.

 * Yes, that worked for me, but I lost some of my settings.
