Different Dashboard behavior for wp-admin/ and wp-admin/index.php

    I have some odd behavior with my Dashboard. If I browse to mysite.com/wp-admin/ none of my layout customizations are used and admin_init doesn’t fire. If I browse to mysite.com/wp-admin/index.php it works fine.

    My site is running on Apache, and the problem existed for 3.1.3 as well as now with 3.2. My web host recently upgraded things so it’s possible something changed to cause the problem but I don’t have any clue what that might have been.

    Any ideas?

    I didn’t change anything at all, and the problem went away. I’m guessing something changed on my webhost’s configuration.
