link list

Does anyone know how to create a link list so that if you change a post name or page name (title and also permalink) all of your on-site hyperlinks that referenced that page will continue to work? I have googled this an cannot find an answer. I thought adding your pages to the link list and then naming the link would do it but it doesn’t. When you select the link name and insert it into your post it remains unchanged even when you change the title of the page it is referencing.
