Editor list hidden on initial navigation

When clicking Appearance>Editor, the next screen is the full view of the Site editor. To view the list of available areas to edit (Site, Templates, Template Parts), you have to click the W at the top.

It’s one extra step that I think is unnecessary. Why not just have the Editor list appear in the sidebar on the initial click?

I tested this with both twenty-twenty two and twenty-twenty three themes.

To reproduce:
1. Using a block theme, Navigate to Appearance>Editor.
2. Notice there’s no side bar showing the Editor list.
3. Click the W at the top.
4. See the Editor list appear.
