    Hello Jason,

Yes, you can. Just call the field ‘role’.

I have a column ‘role’ with a value ‘Author’ but after import the User Profile shows ‘No Role for This Site.’ All the other user data is imported correctly.

Also, you said the role column is included in the example.csv but it’s not in the file I downloaded.

This is with WP 3.2.1 and version 0.2.2 of your plugin.

    Comenius, try lowercase ‘author’.

Ah, perfect, that worked. Thank you!

    You are welcome.
I will make it so that in the next version you don’t have to enter it lowercase.

How about when a user role does not exist, but you wish to create a new one from the CSV? WordPress doesn’t provide an interface to create or delete custom user roles…

Use a plugin like Members to create the roles.

    Comenius, try lowercase ‘author’.

What would be the correct role “word” for Suscriber? I tried “suscriber” but it appears as “No Role For This Site”.

    Thank you.

Oh… thank you very much. Problems of language… As in Spanish it’s written as Suscriptor y went ahead and forgot de ‘b’.

Thank you, and sorry for such a dumb question, next time i’ll check
    wordreference first jeje.
