• I am wondering how I can get this plugin to work with the Automatic Youtube Video Posts Plugin. Currently, because the Automatic Youtube Video Posts Plugin doesn’t include the video embed code in the main body of my posts, the Video Thumbnails plugin can’t find any thumbnails.

The Automatic Youtube Video Posts Plugin pulls in thumbnails already but you need to use a specific template tag for them, and I’d like to be able to automatically make all those youtube thumbnails set as my post thumbnail, so that I can more easily display thumbnails for these posts along with thumbnails of unrelated posts in my theme. The Video Thumbnails plugin offers this functionality much more easily than the Automatic Youtube Video Posts Plugin. But if these two plugins could somehow work together, it would be a really powerful way to automatically automatically and seamlessly integrate a ton of youtube videos into a wordpress blog.

Also, I checked this post hoping I could make it work for this issue, and I haven’t been able to do so. Either I can’t find the right thing to put in the “video_key” space, or that fix just doesn’t work for this plugin.

Actually, is there a way to get it so that I don’t have to rescan for thumbnails every time a new video is added? Is there a way to make it so that the thumbnail is automatically added whenever a new post is added? I thought that’s how this plugin worked but I’m assuming the tweak I made just made it apply only to the scanning and not to the automatic thumbnail creation on new posts?
