page tabs

ive made a page with my terms and conditions but do not want the page tab to show at the top of my site

instead im trying to create a link to this page.

I’ve added the link to a new menu, and the link shows in the sidebar, but when clicked on I get a notice saying page not found..?

If I make the page ‘private’ no one can see it, so I have to keep the page public but end up with the page ‘tab’ at the top again.

anyone kind enough to spare a moment to guide me through this..?
