• We recently moved from the shelter of the wordpress.com world to a self hosted site. There is one new behavior we have not been able to diagnose and correct. We typically include 3 to 5 images in each post, after fixing the local flash version these upload just fine. Then they insert equally well into a post when in edit mode and show up just fine when previewed. However, all but one of the images disappears on publishing, no broken image icons appear, it’s as though they are simply skipped over. Going back to edit the post and there they are still. Examining the directory of the server, the image files are present in all the defined sizes in the proper directory and are complete when pointed to by either a browser or downloading and examining them in detail.
The only “fix” we’ve been able to find is to publish a post, then delete the images and reinsert them. Once the post is updated, all images are present.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening?
