How-to: RSS feed – just the title link?

In ‘reading options’ you can choose between post summary and full text. If you want anything else, it appears like you need to edit the appropriate wp-****.php file. I have looked closely at wp-rss2.php which the site is currently referring to and am not at all comfortable editing it. So can anyone tell me what to edit/delete/download?
