Even after updating W3TC to the latest version, CSS and JS minify are still broken – the missing file param thing.

I want to go back to an older version, but this is a complex plugin…don’t want to mess things up.

  • downgrading is a bit tricky – if you have a problem recovering your site after downgrade look for a CORE in the .htaccess file.

I have no missing file param error after upgrading to 0.9.2.2

I downgraded previously just by killing the plugin file, uploading a previous version and reinstalling all the .htaccess stuff (which it forced me to do, assuming that I had installed from scratch). All my settings were retained and it worked fine. I may do this again, depending on how quick the bug fix is forthcoming.

YMMV, but in my experience downgrading W3TC hasn’t been difficult at all. The plugin seems to clean up after itself nicely (deletes all cache, related files and removes it’s .htaccess settings). Simply deactivate the plugin first and then delete it through the WP Plugins page.

When working properly, W3TC rules. But this bug needs squashing ASAP! Otherwise it’s invaluable 4.5 star rating will start plummeting.

Sorry for the trouble, some new features designed to make the plugin easier are hard to test without your help. Hopefully this will be resolved in the next release.

Don’t worry about it Frederick 🙂 . I disabled the option to use fancy URLs and the error goes away.

You’ve done an awesome job with a great plugin. Don’t think for a moment that we’re ungrateful for all your hard work!

No problems here either, I appreciate all your hard work on a wonderful plugin.

Where can I get hold of the development version?
