Because it sure seems that way. I would encourage everyone to use Yoast’s SEO plugin. Same plugin, but there’s no “paid” version.

I think this is the one where they expressly ignore the GPL and credit to the original coder, violate the spirit of open-source and WordPress, and then try to convince people to pay for something mediocre where Yoast’s free one is substantially better.

Yes, this plugin should be removed since they just ripped off code from Yoast.
