safe_mode to OFF in php.ini

    I’ve been told I need to change safe_mode to OFF in php.ini and restart our server (virtual private server). This is same server as all of our other sites. Is that difficult to do, or do you know if doing this safe_mode to OFF in php.ini can affect our main site you developed (for example cause some stuff to not work)
