Support » Plugin: Trackable Social Share Icons » [Plugin: Trackable Social Share Icons] Shortcode Not Working in Special Posts

  • I am using a PageLines theme that uses a special post type called boxes. I am trying to create a box on my homepage for sharing. When I insert the shortcode it is only displaying what I am typing in directly (in visual and html mode).

I tried the shortcode in a regular post and it seems to work fine.

If the shortcode will not work in the boxes, is there a way to get raw html code to insert instead?

    Hey Fanoop,
I am looking into this to see how we can get it corrected for your system. Unfortunately there isn’t any standard or raw HTML code that can be used at this time, however there is a function that you can place directly in the template code (<?php _trackableshare_embed(); ?>)

Note there is also a widget if that would help any.

I will follow up as soon as I hear back from PageLines and how their “boxes” system works.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks for the update. Just an FYI…I have tried other short code in the boxes and it seems to work fine.

Let me know what you hear.

I am also trying the short code in a text (html) widget as an alternative, but that does not seem to work either.

The embed code does not work correctly. I put it into my template for the home page. I have to turn on the “Display Buttons On: homepage” in order for them to show up…however this now causes them to show up twice.
