• I’m new to NextGen but have read a lot these last days about it. And nowhere did I find a topic of someone who wants there image/media to be searchable. That is odd, I think. Maybe I just have miss something so easy that no one have this issue.
I can’t seam to find a solution for this. I’ve tried with the plugin Media-tags but it seams like it does not find NextGen Gallery media.
So my question is: if I have a lot of pictures on my site, tagged with different things and the visitor like to se pic of cats. And they type in cat in the search box. It is possible with NGG to make that happen? To use the search field to find pic of cats?
I’m going to have different albums and different galleries and if a visitor I just interesting in pic of cats or sunsets, they should not have to brows every gallery. The album is going to “define” by photographers, that is way I need this function for the visitors.
    Any solution?

  • NextGEN gallery has a wonderful search features that integrates with the WordPress search. You can find it here:

The plugin you are looking for is NextGEN Search Engine 0.7.0 available on Alex’s site at NextGEN Search

We had a recent discussion about it on this forum:
    NextGEN Search Discussion

It works very well and I personally use it on multiple sites.
