• Hello people,
I’m using wp Version 3.1.2& Yoast WordPress SEO.

When I go to SEO dashboard and try to Re-build XML the site map, I see

But when I go to my wp route directory, no site map file is there. Neither google webmaster are able to read that directory, so, site map is not being generated.

Dose that a permission error? it’s not showing an error, what’s going there??

  • The newest version of WP SEO stores the sitemap in your uploads folder, in the wp-seo folder. It then adds a rule to your robots.txt file to tell search engines where the sitemap is.

Well it’s not really 100% working like that but close, but even better, 0.4 won’t need any hardcoded files anymore.
