Text runs off page

I have a problem. I just got a new layout made for my wordpress 2.0 site and whenever I click on certain pages the text runs off the page and the layout gets all distorted. It only happens when I click on the categorey links that the posts are under like if I click on “news” all the posts filed under the news categorey are distorted and run off the page therefore ruining the whole layout. I have idea how to fix this. Some much needed help would be appreciated. I am not an expert at coding either
