It is on the list of things to do, but I can’t say when it will be ready.
There are a few things to consider with the MU install and nut out.
If you have any suggestions on the MU side of things, it would be great to get some feedback
Kinda slammed at the moment, I may get a minute to peek at it in the next month, maybe. Haven’t looked into the code, but had looked at PHPIDS before. Big value is having a gaggle of exploit-specific rules ready at runtime.
Typically, when possible, I prefer to apply solutions at the server/Apache level instead of WP, but in this case, I won’t have permissions/access to either of those (this time).
What were the major issues you had noted regarding WPMU?

No problem, I don’t use WPMU very much so I thought maybe someone who uses it more may have some suggestions.
Should Mute Screamer only be available to the Super Admin? Initially this seems like a good idea, but the more I think about it the more it seems like more overhead for the Super Admin.
The other stuff is mainly blog management code to run in MU environment.
I’d expect that the Super Admin would have full access to define the ruleset/limits, while individual site admins would have the reporting/status information available. Since reporting on attacks could be filtered on a per-blog basis, that should be a little easier to deal with, and access to admin settings only need to be allowed for the Super, so no immediate hassles of multi-instance settings (yet).
I’d also guess that for reporting, emailing a notification when # of reporting events are over XX, or when any single event rates over XX value would be good – provided the email uses a link to admin + highlighted event/log (emailing individual attacks just doesn’t scale, espec. under WPMU).

That all sounds pretty good to me, especially since there is no multi instance settings, I like that.

Just downloaded your plugin and installed it in a multisite environment. Doesn’t seem like you’ve got around to implementing the multisite support yet. How’s that coming along?

It is still a fair way off, I haven’t done much on Mute Screamer over the last month or so, its been pretty busy at work, etc. I’m sorry I can’t give you a definite *when* at the moment. In addition to multisite support there are a few other ideas i would like to see in there too, right now i can’t say when that will be
Please add support for multisite installs. This is a great plugin, but I can’t use it because I host all my blogs in WPMU environment.
hey. it is such an important way of securing wordpress and people should use it more. i would love to use it, but i am using WPMU as well 😉 when do you think would a new version coming out which supports that?
