• I have just added the code to have a Super Admin panel.
The Problem: I can’t add my other two sites. They are hosted together. When I try to add the site names, I get this error:
    Missing or invalid site address.

    I’ve tried every different address, i.e. http://, http://www., .name…

    What am I missing?

    Thanks

  • You’re adding exisiting sites?

    Don’t.

When you add a NEW site, just fill in the slug, not the full domain. If you picked subdomains, you’ll be writing in “subdomain” (except whatever it’s called).

You need to create a new site properly first before you go moving in your old site. no, multisite will not magically find your other separate installs on the server.

O.K. I removed the code I added to my htaccess, and wp-config. All is back to normal.

Just curious: Is there a way to use one control panel for each of my sites, without recreating them?

    Thanks

WP-Hive maybe? But I’m honestly not sure.

You COULD export XML from the old site and import into the new Network. Won’t keep your theme/plugin settings, but it will bring the posts over.
