Can CF7 before_send action hook alter outgoing mail?

It appears to me that it can, but I thought it was an interesting question. I’m using the hook wpcf7_before_send_mail to submit a field of the form to the database, and I want to add the result, Success or Failure, to the contents of the email that goes to the site admin. It looks like the CF7 object is passed to the function that grabs the hook by reference, therefore I’m guessing that it will work. Only one way to know for sure…
