Upgrade from 1.2 direct to 2.0 | WordPress.org

Yes, I’m still using 1.2 (ducks tomatoes and bananas). I’m ready to upgrade, but can I do so directly from 1.2 to 2.0 or do I need to do 1.2 to 1.5, and then 1.5 to 2.0?

“If you are considering upgrading to WordPress Version 2.0, but you are at Version 1.2, then follow the 1.2 to 1.5 upgrade as describe in Upgrading From WordPress Version 1.2 to 1.5. Once you are upgraded to Version 1.5.x, then follow the instructions as listed above to upgrade from 1.5 to 2.0.”

(To find that URL i had to search the forums – I really think it should be linked from the download page (http://wordpress.org/download/) but the WP people obviously think different.)

(btw, it’s really hard to search the forums because the search pages is located here: http://wordpress.org/support/search.php but the search box on the support page is for searching the whole WP site – wich makes it really hard finding relevant threads.)
