Multisite control problem

    I have allowed users to create subdomain sites on my multisite blog. When users create a subdomain site it works great BUT… when the subsite owner sends users to the subsite registration page, there is a box asking those users if they want to set up a site. This allows another site to be created as a subdomain of the original subdomain: site2.site1.mydomain.com.

    How can I make it so you can only register for a new subsite from the top level and not from another subsite?

    This allows another site to be created as a subdomain of the original subdomain:

    you must have used a multi network plugin to set up those subdomains, or did some manual edits, and NOT the default.

    because by default, signing up works exactly the way it does at wordpress.com.

    When you set up miltisite you can have them as subdomains or subdirectories. No special plugins just multisite enabled.

    What’s your site? What you describe happening does not happen by default. that’s why I suggested you may have a plugin doing it or have done something else.
