Post Editor: Publish Immediately Broken

    I have had this issue for a long time and I am hoping someone knows of a fix. WordPress sometimes accidentally picks the current date/time for an article when saving as a draft. When I finally get around to publishing, it still shows the older date/time instead of the current date/time.

    Is there a way to switch a draft to publish immediately rather than having to manually input the date and time?

    I saw that some one suggested clicking “Edit” then “Cancel” to rest it, but it does not work. I tried it in Chrome 10 and Firefox 4.
