• Hi,

I recently launched my latest WordPress real estate website, AndOpportunities.com.

    Site overview…

    1. It’s super simple to add property photos, pdf’s, videos and audio per property, as well as related info: Listing Price, Beds, Baths, SQFT, Schools, Views, etc. It’s all set up to be very search engine friendly too, using WordPress’ existing blogging power, some simple plugins, and of course major tweaks and several additions to the theme.

    2. MLS listings are automatically fed onto their website, via IDX, and they’re updated by the hour. Each property automagically creates its own page, right there on your real estate website, thus under your domain.

    3. It’s working. They had a WordPress real estate website before, however, it wasn’t very inviting/welcoming. It was also very stagnant, and consequently, was on page 11 (of Google) for “las vegas short sale” just prior to launching their new website. Now they’re on page 3, roughly a month later, with no additional SEO work. They’ve been going up in ranks one placement a day, usually, moving up a full page a week (roughly). I’m pretty certain we can hit page 1 of Google by the end of next month, then go all out for the top spot.

That all said, I would appreciate your constructive feedback on the design, implementation, and possibly some insight into making it more effective and easier to use.

    Thanks for your time!

I just added a few screen shots of this client’s admin area where they can add real estate listings, upload property photos, videos, PDFs, etc…all from the same page. You can view it here: [Link to commercial theme removed.]

Per usual, I’m not using any WordPress real estate plugins to add properties. Basically, I still find them to be: lacking in SEO; often aborted by the plugin author and/or not updated in some time; too trivial for the user. The whole process should be quick, easy and self-explanatory for the client, like Google. You don’t need to use a manual to use Google, right?

Speaking of Google, this client has already moved up to page 2 (from page 3) for “las vegas short sale”…since last week. Page 1 here we come! What good is your real estate website if nobody can find it?

Nice clean look, but im not crazy about the font… sorry
    small detail though !
Best of luck with the site!

Thanks for the feedback. And yeah, don’t be sorry, I need to hear this.

So, what font were you talking about? The font used on the logo, page titles, body text?

    Thanks again for your input.

You create great themes! It’s a breath of fresh air to see that especially with so many bad wordpress real estate websites out there.

Wow, thanks for the awesome words Josh. It’s nice to hear given how much time I put into these themes.

Anyways, thanks again for the feedback.

I think I know what the above commenter means about the font… I’m not sure what font you’re using for the main paragraph text but it’s like there’s too much spacing in between each character.

From a design point of view I think most of your site looks well designed and professional and there’s a clear call to action.

Quick SEO tip – you could have the text in your header as plain text rather than embedded in an image.
