    Two problems are consistent.

    1. When I post, the image doesn’t appear in the “Manage Slides” list. Just the title. It was working earlier today and I was able to get several photos into the slider on the home page. Now it’s not uploading files – either directly or via url. I’ve gone through the troubleshooting list and none of those solutions help.

    2. Whenever I update the plugin, the Pro file is dropped and I have to reload it.

  • Ditto!

I even went into the database and took a look around. All appears cop-esthetic there.

Is it image size? or some other image parameter that keep it from making its way to the slideshow-gallery-pro folder?

I was able to Photoshop my image, make it a tad small (530px), save and re-upload successfully, but don’t see why the original would not go. It was 630px X 400px approximately.

FlashBuddy – That only works part of the time. Other times “size doesn’t matter.” It looks like we’re talking to ourselves here, though. It’s been several days and I’m still waiting for a solution.

Hi Sandi, checked out your site and listened to the music, very cool. I like what you have done with your slider!

Slideshow Gallery Pro re-sizes the uploaded image and creates a thumbnail which it stores in /uploads/slideshow-gallery-pro/

I expect the problem has to do with a thumbnail not being generated for one reason or another. Due to the success of many slides, I don’t think folder permissions are an image. Probably has something to do with image color mode, image type or image size. I have not spent the time to track it down. Spent too much time checking out your website 😀

The plugin author has been helpful in the past on his website:

FYI – My family and I used to live Cambria, just up the road from you. Got out while the economy was good 😉 I’ll send you a note from your website.

    Hi Cameron!
This is Sandi’s webmaster, Valli Keller.
I’ll let her know that a note is coming her way. If it has to do with the Slideshow Gallery Pro, I’d appreciate a cc.
Thanks for this response. I agree that it may be a thumbnail generation issue. When this happens, the image shows up in the slider but there is no thumbnail in the gallery.
I don’t understand this sentence “Due to the success of many slides, I don’t think folder permissions are an image.”
But it’s very random. I seem to be able (usually) to load about 4 images before it quits. Then (sometimes – not always) I can load images through the URL option. I did that this morning to load the Tori and Taylor pics which are time sensitive due to the NBC competition they are in.
I’ve tried resizing images in case that’s the problem. That doesn’t seem to have any effect.
All images are .jpg so that’s not the problem.
Color mode is just RBG – no differences there.
I’ve tried deactivating EVERY other plugin. That didn’t help.

By the way, Sandi is a remarkably talented musician and teacher. Glad you liked her website.

Sandi, I see on your the site you linked to originally the page seems to be loading well, is this resolved?

Valli, answering for Sandi. It’s a sporadic thing. Last time it worked, the time before that it didn’t. I know that makes troubleshooting difficult.
