I am trying to insert a piece of Javascript into a table so that the date shows automatically.

The Javascript will not show up at all inside the table. It will show up if I enter the script into the post. I put that under the table where it says “Here is it working: (date)”

Is there something I need to change or add to make this work?

I looked at those, but it confuses me and I’m not sure what the fix is going to be.

Anything more specific that could get me in the right direction?

Hi,

thanks for your question.

Your code is correct, there’s just small problem with the line breaks in it. WP-Table Reloaded transforms line breaks into HTML <br> tags, and that’s what breaks your code here (you can see the tags if you take a look at the HTML source code of the page).
So, if you enter all of the code in one line (except for the line breaks that get added automatically by the browser, due to the width of the input field), everything should work as expected.

Thank you so much for your help.

I also needed to take out the <!– because this was corrupting all the code after it when it was on one line.

It works now.
