• I’m encountering an issue attempting to post my flickr images to my blog.

Problem is, when it arrives in WordPress, it’s lost most of the style information. It removed the class attribute on a DIV, and removed a SPAN tag in its entirety. I’ve also tried inline styles and it’s stripped this too! Is this Flickr or WordPress?

Have searched around both Flickr and WordPress forums, but can’t find anything similar.

Anyone run into this one? Not sure if it’s Flickr’s end or some weirdness when it gets to my WordPress install?

I’m using WordPress 2.0 on my own server.

Looks like I’m not alone and this is a break in functionality since version 1.5 to WordPress 2.0.

Any comment from Devs? Further info required?

I’ve previously mentioned this in the other forum:

(apologies if cross posting not allowed, but felt that since we’d narrowed it down to changed behaviour in XMLRPC, it was more appropriate here?)

IANAP, but my guess is that this is related to the other xmlrpc problems that have surfaced (see this bug report and this one, also check out a variety of threads here) Generally html attributes are being stripped from posts made through xmlrpc. Looks like the fixes are targeted for the 2.0.1 release.
