Think I might have trashed my site

I have been getting some blog spam so thought I would tighten up on security by creating another admin account but with a new name instead of admin just in case the next step was to hack the site. Then to delete the original admin account. All ok except when deleting the admin account – you guessed it, i forgot to click the button to link everything to the new admin and pop all is gone. Is that recoverable or is it start again.
