Blank Page Coming Soon notice – PLEASE HELP

    I have no idea what’s happening here (I’m pretty hopeless when it comes to anything web related). My host is linked with Fantastico, so it automatically uploads WordPress for me. I’ve edited the wp-config.php file, but there still seems to be a problem somewhere. My homepage won’t work, it’s just plain white and the tab at the top says “Coming soon…” I can add other pages and these work ok, but the basic homepage with the basic domain name won’t work. It’s driving me totally nuts.

    I’m completely lost about what to do!

    When the host account was created, you may have automatically received a default “index.htm” page that contains the “coming soon” message.

    Use an FTP client to attach to the domain and examine the public_html directory. If you find a file called “index.htm” or “index.html” there, rename it to have a different extension (like ‘xxx’) and see what happens.

    Thanks so much!! It worked. Actually I had index.php and indexold.html so tried both, but it was the indexold.html one that was causing the problem.
