Hi 2 all! My request is directly for Frederick Townes πŸ™‚ I “love” W3 Total Cache, for me one of the best caching plugin, but, for me, page-cache need one simple implementation: add one choice on the page-cache menu for deleting only modified cached files. For example: on busy sites with more users and more unique, deleting all cached files after “one hour” is more expensive and is not the optimun; after this deletion more of the same files previous deleted are re-cached. For my personal opinion the best choice is deleting only modified cached files, for example post or pages re-edited or re-commented.

    – Garbage collection interval: 3600 seconds (actual choice)
    – Garbage modified files interval: 300 seconds (new feature choice)
    – Delete only modified cached files on garbage collection (new feature choice)

    Is possible add this feature?

    Thanks!

This is not possible because old pages need to be removed usually because there are limits on the number of files that can exist in directories.

Hi, we need it too πŸ™‚

Frederick, Hypercache have same features, and work fine without limits on the number of files that can exist in directories.

    Thanks!
