I just upgraded from 3.1 to 3.1.1. During the “Update Network” step, the process timed out on one of the sites.

How can I find out which sites still need to be updated, and how do I update them manually?

Visit each site’s Dashboard to fire the upgrade routine. Also, I believe that the upgrade routine goes in order of site ID, so wherever it left off before timing out should be where to start.

The site should have put a number in your browser’s address bar… You SHOULD be able to copy/paste that back in and hit enter.

How many sites do you have?

    We have several hundred blogs…

I’ve determined that the update actually went in reverse blog ID order, so now I know which ones weren’t done, and it’s just a handful.

Tim, do you mean that simply visiting the dashboard causes the update to happen, or am I supposed to be clicking on something? I don’t see anything that refers to updating…

Yes, just simply visiting should run the update. When you do Network Update, it just pings the Dashboard URL of each subsite, I believe.

    Thank you!

Just verifying that Tim is indeed correct. 🙂
