Magic Gallery Plugin: All thumbnails and images are non-existent.

I’ve installed the Magic Gallery plugin as described here:

However, when I run the test using Pikachoose all of the thumbnails and images are blank. I tried creating a new album through the interface, uploading images, and inserting the shortcode for that album into a post, but I got the same result. The number of images and all of the dimensions are correct, but no images appear.
