• Guys, I have a problem. My WP blog suddenly ended up with an error 500 (Internal Server Error). Prior to this, everything was fine.

I have 2 WP blogs on my server, and only one is showing an error 500.

    Upon checking the error log:
    blockquote
[2006-01-09 16:56:13]: error: directory is writable by others: (/home/chewxy/public_html/blog)/blockquote
Right, so I made the folder 755 instead of 777, and I can load my blog… at least only the side bar. It stops loading when the Gallery Random Block doesn’t run, with the error : “Error: Your Userfile is not writeable”

Er, so, I want to have my Gallery Random Block working, and also I want my blog posts to show.

Oh yeah, something went wrong with my .htaccess file too.
I had to delete it in order for my blog to load without an error 500. The error message for the .htaccess file thingy was
    blockquote
[Mon Jan 9 17:02:25 2006] [alert] [client 219.94.63.14] /home/chewxy/public_html/blog/.htaccess: Invalid command ‘php_flag’, perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration/blockquote

Any leads on going around here? (I’m currently forced to use Kubrick… which, I don’t really like).
And I’m using WP1.5.2 *looks sheepish. I know WP2 is out. No time to update.
